Radarbox Comstation with problem

(1/3) > >>

hal_0:
I'm do some upgrades in my network (Cables, routers and AP) to improve my  internet in the weekend, after this I lost comunication with Comstation, I divided my network in IP by DHCP (Pc and mobiles) and IP static (TV, Printers and Comstation), I believe than i has setup with wrong IP or Gateway, because all lights it is right, in the network cable has two lights one (green) always on and other (yellow) flashing than believe than Comstation has try transmit.

Is it possible do a factory reset or some thing that can recovery the configurations?

Runway 31:
Did you try to re-boot, un-power leave 5 minutes then power up again.  Other than that I can only suggest you contact support for assistance.

The following may work to figure out the comstations actual IP:

- Donwload and install a network "sniffer/analyzer" as e.g. wireshark.
- While Comstation is off power connect it to a free ethernet port
- select this ethernet IF in e.g. wireshark
- power up comstation
- although the comstation might not be in the correct address range you should see it popping up in the hostlist with connection attempts.

Hello Runway31,
->> It was nearly a week off and the turn on is still the same. Thx

Hello neroon79,
->>I tried using the software yesterday but I could not solve the problem. Wireshark did not show me any different IP than my machine and router, I try again today.
Do you have any specific configuration for Wireshark? I do not know the program and do not know if missing configure anything for it to work right. Thx

neroon79:
No additional settings needed in wireshark.

At work we have micro sps IO modules with fixed IP adresses. These modules were collecting dust for seleveral years and now one could remember what the ip or clear text name was.

I did the following:

1. I establish a direct ethernet connection between the device and the PC.
2. I manually set an IP address for the PCs ethernet port.
2. I opened wireshark and selected the ethernet port with the device connected to it.
3. I powered up the device.
4. Usually shortly after start up ethernet devices broadcast request especially if they can't find any gateway or the fixed IP gateway entered in the settings. It is something like: I'm looking for gateway with IP x,x,x,x who has that gateway. In many cases the clear text name is also broadcasted.
5. After that I altered the PCs IP in a way, that it was in the same address range as the device. Now it was possible to get to the devices webpage and change the IP address.

Unfortunately I'm not at home to try it out with "my" comstation. So no guarantees, that it will work with comstation too.
