Simon, you would be better to use 5.00.72 which is the latest on the support page
http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRB50072Setup.exe

If you go to File/Database explorer/Database Updates tab then Update all records press start update and you will see the progress bar along the bottom.  Once complete you will be advised to close down and restart and the processing will finish on starting up.  You should have 226.500 odd after the update.

That would suggest that the d/b update went to the old version and would also suggest that you have the old version on your laptop.  Either delete the old version or find the Navdata db3 file in the old version and drag it over to new version.

Personally I would delete all traces of the previous installations and reinstall the new version.  Don't install to programme files install to something like c:/Airnav

Paul,

Have you done a search and found where the Navdata.db3 is?  If you have downloaded and installed the Navdata update and you are still only showing 80,000 you must have 2 Navdata.db3 files, the original file which the software is reading and the new one which has went somewhere else?

Find the new one which should be around 66,275Kb in size.  It should be in c:\Airnav Radarbox\data\ if you followed 5.00.72's default install.

Thanks alan - will give that a try. Default installation put in in programme files though.

It shouldn't Paul, 5.00.72 default should be outwith program files.  I would suggest that you delete the installation and manually remove everything left after the automatic removal and the install as detailed in my previous reply.
