Hardware not activating
« on: April 13, 2014, 05:15:50 PM »
Hi,
I have just installed my software for the box onto a different computer and it is saying it does not recognise the drivers. The software downloads but when i open airnav the red light is on saying hardware not connected. It's a 32 bit system. It works on my laptop ok, but it doesn't recognise the drivers on this computer or my netbook. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Trevor

There shouldn't be any problems.  Which RB software version are you using

The original one i got with the box, it's coming up 2009 but i have tried to update it to 5.00.071 but it hasn't on  this computer. It updated on the laptop ok which is running Vista, but when i open it it still says version 2.01. the computer is saying it is not recognising the drivers for some reason?

Confused

Trev

5.00.71 is an upgrade.  Try downloading and installing the last full install v5.00.65 from here.
http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRB50065Setup.exe

Uninstall the original one and Install to c:\Airnav, don't use the programme files location

Tried all of that Alan, the two blue lights on the box are flashing slow now were as they weren't on at all before. However it's still saying hardware not connected.
Thanks anyway.

What happens when you take the USB cable out, try pulling it out and in again to see if anything happens.  Normally you should install the software and attach the cables to finish off the driver installation.

nothing Alan, tried pulling them out and reinserting but still showing hardware not connected. Must have something to do with the drivers as this is the second computer not to recognise?

It cant be the drivers Trev if they are working on one of the computers.  I use Windows 7 as do many others.  Maybe you better drop support an email for their help [email protected].  Are you sure the USB cable is OK.

Trev,

The software normally does for two computers, for another computer after that Airnav require to reset at their end, don't know if that may be the problem.
