Hi all.

Please note that you will need to run your car every now and then.  I was told this and forgot.  At 20:30 we decided to go home and guess what?

Yes, battery was flat :(
Had to call RAC.  All i can say is HOW EMBARASSED i was.
Bet the gate keeper had a laugh.

Cheers
Tony

Bet you're not the first! - A lesson for us all!

Hope to be at Manchester myself this week, depending on the weather.

Perhaps with the investment the Viewing Park is getting, they could install powerpoints in the car park :)

Tony,

What an adventure, I hope that you picked up loads of aircraft.  I guess that the low battery alarm wasn't loud enough - lol

   Peak power: 1000w
1000s surge output for starting a medium sized TV or game console
Operate 230v mains appliances from 12v battery power
   3 pins outlet
   Low battery alarm shutoff
   Short circuit protection
   Overload protection
A good solution for providing emergency power if mains fail

I use one of these

The powerpack 135 when it runs my PC for 6 hours plus.

Good tip piper-pilot. Looks pretty similar to this one:

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_180794_langId_-1_categoryId_31417

I think that I might go down this route as I can use it as a power supply to recharge my electric RC power packs too since the old motorcycle battery that I used has finally given up the ghost.
