I am seeing military aircraft  all night,  UK army zg997 squawk 7031 and gazl squawk 0703, must be some sort of exercise, its now 00.30am Wednesday

Locally based and fairly frequent; probably not "an exercise" as such but operational.

651 Squadron are part of 5 Regt Army Air Corps based in Northern Ireland, it operates the Islander and Defender aircraft, these are twin-engined fixed wing aircraft.

665 Squadron

665 Squadron is currently located in Northern Ireland as part of 5 Regt Army Air Corps flying the Gazelle Helicopter
