WOW!! A380 (SIA317) just departed on 09L - fantastic!!!!! Wasn't quick enough to get my camera..it disappeared into the snowy sky... huge right outside my window. Can't wait for the Cranford Agreement to be totally scrapped.

Think it was single rwy ops for a while yesterday due weather..a rare sight indeed!

Were you around in the days when 23 was available for landing?

Yes. I used to get almost underneath the landings on 23 not far from me every once in a while. Really quite something to watch given the strong winds they seemed to use it for.

I also have fond memories 15+ years ago when I could get right under 27R a/c on the wasteland near Cranford and have ear splitting 747s about 100 feet above my head. All access closed off now though.

Yesterday I think it was no more than 5 a/c on 09L T/O starting with an American Airlines. Looking forward to the summer easterlies and takeoffs on 09L whenever it's finalised. Should be able to adjust the camera setup to capture the heavies at least.

Unfortunately not as I can't see them through the low cloud today. It's tending to clear though.
