PHOTO Folder Permission Problems in Windows 7
« on: October 28, 2009, 02:07:22 PM »
I upgraded from Vista Home Premium (32-Bit) to Windows 7 Home Premium ... ANRB 3.07 runs as before ... EXCEPT I'm no longer able to manually save/copy pictures to the PHOTO folder.  I shut down ANRB and still, I don't have permission to add the pictures.  I do have administrator privileges.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

Jim

Ah yes. Windows is telling you that it knows that you have permission to do this because it's simply asking for you to confirm the action rather than requesting the administrator password.

This is one of the reasons that I have used a UAC utility to turn off these sorts of prompt.

Not sure, but maybe the effective permissions tab will allow you to change the permissions to "allow and don't prompt".

DOH!  It's been a long night.  Thanks for bringing that UAC thing to my attention.  ALL IS WELL!  The Windows 7 upgrade did not go as advertised here.  I'm starting to miss the obvious!
