G-CZNA
« on: October 22, 2009, 11:10:05 AM »
Guys,
G-CZNA B767-300 c/n 27957 has belonged to Globespan for quite some considerable time but the photos on the RB of the aircraft are still showing it in the livery of defunct Zoom. How can I change the photos to show it in Globespan colour scheme.

Cheers,

Ian

You can't, AirNav need to make the change at their end.

Incidentally, if you want to see what photos are currently being displayed for a specific aircraft, you can simply bring them up in your browser using, for example:

www.airnavsystems.com/cgi-bin/ANLV_SV/Photo/G-CZNA.jpg

and

www.airnavsystems.com/cgi-bin/ANLV_SV/Photo/G-CZNA,2.jpg

(substitute your desired registration)

Thanks for that Dave. I had a feeling that I couldn't do anything at this end but thought I would ask first before I started any mucking about and making things worse.

Ian,

As far as I am aware, you can change the photo that is displayed.

You can go on another photo website like Jetphotos for example, save , drag it across to Photos folder and delete old Zoom photo.

Well that is what I have been doing.

Cheers

Phil

phil zech is correct, just download the thumbnail from one of the photo sites (Jetphotos or Airliners) Save it in the data/photos folder of the RB directory with the reg = G-CZNA and this will overwrite the one's that are already there.  If you want a second photo, rename G-CZNA,2.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Thanks guys,
Got some work to do now !

Cheers,

Ian

Edit: Back to the drawing board. The Airliners site still shows the aircraft in Zoom colour scheme and after a bit of figuring out the workings of the jetphotos site, it also gives details for Zoom. Anyone know of any other sites which may be more up to date for changes of ownership and therefore colour schemes ?

G-SPNA (40132F)    So, just update the registration in Navdata.  Delete photos, and it should then get the correct photos.

Much easier and quicker to just click on the photo in RB.  This brings up the airliners.net full size picture.  Right click the large picture to download it.

That's true, but it assumes of course that you are currently picking up the aircraft you're interested in.

If not, use the URL method.

Tarbat,
Entering G-CZNA into the airframes site, throws up, you've guessed, it details and picture for Zoom. Kind of going round in circles with this one.

It's simple really.   G-CZNA ceased to be in August 2008.  The airframe was re-registered as G-SPNA in March 2009.  Just update your database.

Try entering hex code 40132F into airframes.org, and you'll see the history of the aircraft.

Bingo! Thanks Tarbat and clicking on G-SPNA gave me the correct picture which I have now entered into the RB. Hopefully, should be ok now , I'll have to wait until next time it's picked up.
Thanks again,

Ian
