HI re the VC10 referred to in post #19 above I saw this on another site.

Cant see any mention of todays QRA which has been ongoing since mid afternoon.
Involved were XV105 VC10 90P62 and two Tornados ZE338 and ZE757.

The thread continues suggesting this wasn't  a drill but an operation against a Russian Aircraft which had strayed a little close.  Interesting stuff!!!

Iv'e got 2 US Mil Callsigns Panthr 11 and 13, Mode S AE1786 and AE1789 - airframes has nothing - any ideas?

Slightly unusual one - AE03EE   US Navy C130  165350 @ 22725  NO Squawk.
Based in Hexham - Tyne Valley 
Best view for RB is North of a line between EGNT and EGNC  - includes OTA and Spade, to EGPH above 7500ft.   Can be TRUE mobile with Mobile Broadband feed to Network.
