Average Range issues

Seems to be an issue with the system. My (and many other RB's) average range is showing as substantially higher than max range!

In addition my RPI had shown as offline although I could see aircraft from it at that particular time.

How does the system calculate average range? Reason I ask is that the figure shown in the coverage page for my station is significantly lower than other sites report.
