Hello
I just purchased a new radarbox pro from airnav systems website
Received it and installed the software.
But i am not getting any messages only 1 to 7 max!
My setup is bs1100 antenna mounted on a 6 meter pole on the roof and a west flex 103 coax cable. Same setup with rtl dongle and using rtl 1090 decoder i get over 200+ messages.
What the problem could be any help will be appreciated. Thanks

But i am not getting any messages only 1 to 7 max!, so you are receiving something then?
What software version is that V4.03?
When you mention messages 1-7, that's low. Do you get any aircraft either on the grid or on the map. What lights are on, on the unit?

Hello Alan
I get air craft on the grid either landing or taking off which is nearly above the house
The version is v4.03
Lights are green on
Blue blinking
And white blinking Rarely

Is it the same antenna that you are using with the dongle? The white will only blink if it is getting signals. Where are you located and where is the antenna sited?
Would you be able to use the supplied antenna connected and sited outside to see if it is any better or worse.
-
Yes the same antenna same setup just changed from the dongle switched to the airnav radar box

As Alan suggests try the supplied antenna, but what part of the world/country are you in and are there other planes flying around - if they're not there, you'll not pick them up, plus not all planes are ads-b equipped (especially military), but this could be an antenna/down-lead problem -water/moisture ingress into a down-lead to antenna joint will seriously reduce signal strength, and may travel by capillary action down the lead, I've actually seen water drips coming out of a length of co-ax, where the connector joints weren't water-proofed!

hello CoastGuardJon
your right sir.
but the problem is when i connect the dongle i get airplanes 500 km from my station! and if i connect the RB pro i get nothing 2 or 3 planes max
and my station is in kuwait OKBK
see attachments please
those attachments taken by max 30 sec differance

Could you try it with the supplied antenna and let us know how that goes.
Also while in myflights, it would appear to be OK but can you click Show All, along the quick filter line above the grid. Also in Advanced on the row above the map can you ensure Show All Flights is ticked

Thank you so much guys for the replays
i got it fixed
the problem was it needed the pre amp
all done great coverage check it out OKBK
thanks again guys!

Great to see you got it working but never expected that!
Could I now suggest that you upgrade to the current software version.
You will get it here http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRB50072Setup.exe Its a big download so it may take a while.
If you decide to install it I would suggest that you delete the original version first including a manual deletion of any orphan files left behind.
To avoid Windows Virtual Store problems do not install to the programme files location. Install to something like c\Airnav
What version of Windows do you use as you may also need additional drivers. With this new version you will be able to update the database each day. It contains records of around 250,000 aircraft against the 80,000 records of your current database, which are mostly incorrect or at best not current. Also the routes database is now relatively up to date.
If you need any further info or assistance just ask

Hello Alan
Thank you sir for the support and all of the Airnav forums members!
I will download the software u replayed with today but i guess i need the correct drivers.
I am using windows 7 pro version
Where can i find win 7 pro drivers?
Regards.
-
You will only need different drivers if you have the 64bit version of W7. If you have the 32bit, the drivers come in the software download from the link passed.
Alan

Yup i use he 64bit version
-
Here they are here http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/drivers/ANRB64bitDrivers.zip
Note they are zipped, you will need to unzip them to a folder and when installing direct the installer to the folder you unzipped them to
