Title: Heathrow abandoned approach
Post by: RodBearden on June 13, 2013, 09:24:56 PM
I was watching the tennis from Queens Club, London on the TV, when I heard a heavy jet applying lots of power while on the approach to Heathrow. I switched to RB, and then to RB24 to see a Jet Airways B77W, JAI118, climbing, then abandoning its approach and do a quick 360 turn at 4000 ft before rejoining and landing. Apart from presumably being too low, I wonder what other problems it had.

Never seen an abandoned approach on RB before.

Hi Rod, only just picked up on this one, NICE CATCH!, first time I've ever seen one like that.  J
