Title: where are flight ids determined
Post by: CYFC on July 16, 2011, 11:35:45 PM
Hello,

I was wondering where the flight IDs are developed... at AirNav, or on my computer...the problem I am having, I have many flights without Logos, but with full RB returns....

Rod,
thanks for the input....understand better...however, where do the flight Ids come from...are they in the aircraft messages?...as I understand...the flight number/ID, is used to determine what logo to use...

Doug

The flight ID comes from the aircraft.  If the aircraft doesnt send its full ID. Radarbox cannot attach a logo to the flight.  US and Canadian airlines are especially prone to this i.e. JetBlue and Westjet only generate a flight number and dont send the airline identifier code along with it.
