Strange, this buoy is meant to be being tested in the Firth of Forth, but here it is floating in the sea just 4 miles from my home. I guess the Pole Star is involved in these tests.

I can see the Siem Ruby, but no sign yet of the North Carr Buoy on SP.
I'm guessing that you are working on STrax only.

Yes, I normally forget to start ShipPlotter, it doesn't really offer me anything I can't get from the ShipTrax network. Sorry. Anyway, no sign of the buoy this morning :(
ps. Started up SP.

Hasn't appeared yet this end either, Siem Ruby still there + a few in the harbour.
I'll leave mine feeding in on SP if you want to look around Harwich / Felixstowe + approx 30 miles out to sea. Considering that I'm another 12 miles inland, that's not bad coverage.
Under VHF lift conditions I have had 120 miles operating solo, but that is rare.
Cheers

Tarbat,
Polar Star and bouy were on their way to Aberdeen. Now moored at Commercial Quay.
Thanks to www.marinetraffic.com

It's to the left of the Pole Star in this shot.

Thanks.
Note to Airnav Development. Maybe ShipTrax isn't putting Aids to Navigation (TYPE 21) onto the ShipTrax network.
Type 21 looks like this:
