Title: Please clarify...
Post by: b744 on June 28, 2007, 03:42:13 PM
Before I jump, can you confirm;
a/radarbox works with ms Vista
b/a priority upgrade will include non ads-b a/c appearing in the a/c list with height readouts.

Can you tell me where the database gets its hex/reg tie ups from ? For example,sbs users have a mail group and new codes are posted and can be added to the system very easily,either when the box picks them up or can be entered before they are picked up.

Thanks

Hi

It does work with Vista and yes we will be upgrading the firmware soon so it adds the height readouts. Currently Mode-S aircraft do appear in the list but they are without altitude information.

The database is linked to a online repository and also the database you have on your machine. RadarBox 2007 includes a database editor which is very easy and quick to use.

Hope that helps.

but where do you get the tie ups from ??
many are only  tied up by a person sitting near an airfield with sbs/radarbox and a pair of binoculars !!
Who enters these codes to the online repository ??
Many thanks

Tks. We have just sent an email to webmaster of airframes.org asking for their permission for RadarBox to use their databases. This way users will avoid changing data everywhere and we would have one data central. Let's wait for their answer.
