Title: Shipments start on July 1st 2007.
Post by: DaveG on June 26, 2007, 03:06:41 PM
As the 1st of July is a Sunday, will you be shipping for "delivery" on the Monday or Shipping on the Monday?

Feel free to save time and send mind sooner, I will not mind ;)

We are hoping to be shipping earlier than that date however that would be the latest date the product gets shipped to you (so not to disappoint you if it arrives later :) ).

How are orders to the UK being shipped - anything general you can tell us?

not a present, you will get details when they are dispatched.

As today is the 29 June, with this effectively being the last posting date before 1 July, I am assuming that the talk of early posting was just a line with no substance.  So, what is happening?

adding to above, where will UK orders be shipped from?

Unfortunaly we were unable to post them earlier and they will be sent on Monday as was mentioned on the site earlier. I did mention in my post that we were "hoping" to send them earlier but there was no definite.

They will be sent from Europe.

Dave,

Don't you find the silence deafening, I certainly do.

I (Support) am in a difference place to the hardware guys who are sending it. So when they send us a email then will advise you guys.

So any change of an internal phone call from support to Hardware to ask did they do as promised and ship on time.

Only ask as the last statement of "those that order via the site will be the FIRST to get there boxes" this seems untrue.....

I know being impatient :)

If I was launching a new product and wanted plenty of sales I would keep the first customers very happy as they could be the key to future sales.

I asked the other day how orders would be dispatched (what service) so that I could know when to look out for the delivery man. I was told we would be advised when sent. Either the lack of information means they have not been dispatched - or (because one of your people has said on another site that all preorders have been sent)  that you have forgotten what you said you would do in other threads.

Also as DaveG says a telephone call by you to the right people would help us all.

Sorry was too busy eating my lunch :) They have been dispatched. Expect them to arrive by the weekend in the UK and Europe. We expect same delivery time to other parts of the world as well.

Also in case you are looking for the van out your window it will be a Fedex.

Do you have and will send out Fedex Tracking Codes?
Title: Re: Shipments start on July 1st 2007.

We should do. However can't confirm yet whether they will be sent to you, or just kept incase it gets lost. Send support a email with your order ref and it will be passed on to the hardware department.

It will be nice to see when the first of the dispatched boxes get to their new owners.

nope nothing :(

also guess they were dispatch on Tuesday (not Monday) as Fedex from EU would have arrived today if sent Monday, going by their site information.  So if send Tuesday it should be here tomorrow...  Just hope I can find out when and make sure I'm home....!

All I know from earlier yesterday, is that it should be there before the weekend for UK customers.

Hardware guys will get back to you asp, however considering its past work hours in Europe that maybe tomorrow. Can't tell you anymore I am afraid :( Sorry

How many of you have had the following  email from Armando Fonseca of AirNav Systems

"First of all we would like to thank you once more for your kind order and
justify the "slight" delay on the first RadarBox's shippment.

We're sorry but we had problems with the Fedex's online system, as some of
you certainly have noticed once you received two or more automatic tracking
number e-mails instead of the regular one!

By the way you shall consider as valid the last e-mail's tracking number.

On the other hand as you may understand the shipping system as to be "tuned"
each time a physical product is released regarding the huge amount of
shippments we're having and certainly will have once the RadarBox is being a
great success!

About delivery times, European customers should expect their order to arrive
tomorrow (friday) and US/"rest of the world" customers should expect it next
Monday, all of them 9:00am-4:00pm.

So, just like the support staff said : keep looking for the Fedex's van out
your window! ;)

Then enjoy your product and have fun."

I would like to ask how many of you have received a FedEx tracking number yet - cause I certainly have not - so does that mean mine has not been sent yet ?
Title: Re: Shipments start on July 1st 2007.

Thanks Paul, looking forward to hearing how the shipping goes and how the product works for you.

Yes had same email and no tracking number, even after requesting via email.  Starting to wonder if they have been send!!!  And for sure they were not sent Monday, and if it was Tuesday then Thursday should have been the delivery day not Friday...!!!

Checking Fedex yesterday they were saying Wed postage for Friday delivery in UK.

So Support or Hardware or whoever, lets have some clear details please.  Have the units been sent, if so when were they sent.

What has happened to the tracking numbers?

Also, who is primetec.pt as this email came from that domain?

So another email has just arrived:

----------------------------------

Dear All,

Once we received many simillar questions we decided to reply to all at the
same time.

Probably many of you haven't received the tracking number yet because the
tracking e-mails are sent when the package is processed by Fedex and as they
we're shipped today you shall expect to receive the e-mail meanwhile.

To whom received the two or three error e-mails here you have one of the
problems we had before.

Regards, Armando Fonseca
AirNav Systems

--------------

If this means we were told the units had been sent (Monday or Tuesday) and in fact they had not.....!!!  Then I will be reconsidering my order.  Not happy being told one thing when its untrue.

Gain the email above says sent today, yet another added to the rest.

Lets have someone with some authority posting the correct details so we know.

And one final matter for Armando,  Please learn how to send emails without publically displaying everyones email addresses.  Its call BC (Blind Copy). ever heard of Data Protection....

I believe it is Primetec in Portugal that are actually constructing the RadarBox for AirNav, so it sounds like the shipments are coming direct from the manufacturer.

That fits in with the whole proceess as AirNav did not handle the payments either! Talk about dealing at arms length......

If those on the email are all the orders they have then that does not seem many !.

Apologies guys to what has happened. First week nerves and problems unfortunately.

What I can say is packages are at Fedex at the moment and have been for a few days and problems with our Fedexs accounts meant they were not processed for all sorts of reasons. Some of you would have received the tracking code as mentioned but the date of arrival would have passed.

I agree with you regarding the bcc email and we apologise on primtecs behalf.

I again issue my sincere apologies regarding this fiasco.

European customers should expect their order to arrive tomorrow (friday) and US/"rest of the world" customers should expect it next Monday, all of them 9:00am-4:00pm

Thanks for update.  Can you confirm Tracking numbers will be sent?  (not had any yet)

Reason for this is because need to know when Fedex will be in my area as no one home and I need to take a few hours off to ensure collection, otherwise package will not be delivered :(

Title: Re: Shipments start on July 1st 2007.
Post by: DaveG on July 05, 2007, 01:14:12 PM
Not unless specified by sender when placing order with Fedex.  (its extra)

With all the problems, maybe someone will feel good will and place them on Saturday delivery if Friday fails.
Title: Re: Shipments start on July 1st 2007.
Post by: AirNav Support on July 05, 2007, 01:18:22 PM
Tracking numbers should be sent as soon as Fedex processes the packages. At the moment its in the hands of Fedex so we are keeping our fingers crossed and praying they don't mess up our account again.

Sorry no Saturday deliveries. Yes DaveG we hope if it is there fault they may do that, however I cannot speak on there behalf.

Also just give us a post when you get your tracking id, this so we can confirm the Fedex system is running fully and all systems are go.

Mines now been at Stansted for over 6hrs, and it only takes 6hrs to drive from there me :(

I'm hoping it will arrive today at the holding branch (ANC at Plymouth) if it does maybe able to get it tomorrow if I drive up there (40 miles).  Long chance but at least it would save all the problems of delivery next week that I just know is going to happen.

For all those that have or are at the door step waiting, have fun...

Hi Jetcos

I've been tracking my package from Fedex and it is now in Mississauga and ready to be delivered on Monday.  I received a phone call from a Fedex representitive Saturday morning advising me that there will be duty of $140.00 CAN due on delivery.

Ouch!

So $899US=$945CAN + $140 = $1,085CAN

Ouch is right!

Looking forward to adding my setup to the system, sot of like my ACARS server I have had running for over 4 years.
