Title: V3.09 (and V3.08) Local to Network transfer
Post by: Allocator on November 17, 2009, 07:47:36 PM
There is a thread in the normal Discussion area about delays when local data transfers to real-time Network data.  I've tested this further and here is what I'm seeing:

- Network to local - almost instantaneous, in fact if you blink you miss it.

- Local to Network - a delay of 4 to 5 minutes and about 10 miles gap depending on the speed of the aircraft.

I'm seeing this in V3.09 and 3.08 but when I revert to the V3.07, the transfer is seamless both ways.  I must admit that I didn't realise that this was happening, but the poster is absolutely correct as far as I can see.

Can somebody else test this please.  Just watch an aircraft flying from local to Network coverage when you know that you have good network coverage where the aircraft will be lost by your antenna.

I'm afraid that I agree - network to local is perfect, but local to network is taking at least five minutes - I seem to be getting a band where I'm seeing no network aircraft that have flown past me, but lots of network aircraft flying towards me!

We do need to get this sorted.

Thanks Rod.  I was a bit sceptical when I saw the post, but having checked it I could see the problem.

V3.07 just works so well, so hopefully it it be an easy(?) fix.

It is an easy fix, pls check the mains V3.1 thread.
