Post by: EGNXR on August 10, 2009, 11:46:54 PM
Hi all,

Airnav have worked hard to sort out the purple rain problem :-)

I just wish Air Atlantic would sort out thier iffy boxes:-(

Or perhaps just rebrand themselves South Atlantic Airlnes:0)

Strange.

G-BTPE doesn't have ADS-B (and AFAIK, never has had).

So wherever those spurious positions are coming from (and I'm not necessarily pointing the finger at RadarBox) they haven't come from this aircraft.

Edit:  I knew this rang a bell, we've been round this loop before:  www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=2350.msg19832#msg19832

Looks like nothing has changed re the decoding of spurious positions.  Are you using V3.01, by the way?

Hi Dave,

Yes we have been round this loop before. I thought it was cured with V3.1 (which I'm running). When I loaded V3.1 I reset my polar diagram and since then my mysterious Spanish spike has not re appeared until last night (I get a spike to the same location in Spain). This seems to coincide with either G-BUUP or G-BUUR. What I don't understand is it seems to be only me that has this spike, so is it something with my set up?

See spike jpg
