Title: Save data question
Post by: Abel on November 12, 2008, 01:00:32 PM
Hello everybody

I´m thinking on buying Radar Box and I have a question, is it possible to save all the data it receives such as possition, altitutude and so on of every aircraft you see?

For example can I save 12h. of flights and then get what was the situation of the aircraft in every second, or every time it stores this data, of this 12h.? To see the track followed, altitud patterns,...

If not provided by the software itself could it be achieved by other means.

Thank you.

Hi Abel and welcome

All the details of all the aircraft that your RadarBox picks up are automatically stored in a file called MyLog. You can analyse it in many ways in the software itself, and you can export the data for use in other database programs or spreadsheets.

You can use the Recorder function to store the exact postion, track etc of all the aircraft which broadcast their position with ADS-B equipment.
Hope that helps.

Data is also sent on port 7879 and 30003 so you can log that data as well. That data is what RadarBox uses to update the positions on the map.

Thank you for your quick answers.

Now I´ll get one, and will be around here.
