Hi
Trying to replace a noo elec dongle with an Airnav branded dongle. My question is does does the Radarbox driver replace the Zadig driver? Or do they live side by side? Want to make sure that my Radarbox SW is runnig the correct driver.
I have installed the drivers from microRadarbox-Drivers-20150441.exe and now I get both dongles to work with SW restarts in between. So is this the RDB driver and Zadig running together or the Rdb driver being able to run either dongle?
Any help or is this one for support?

I use both Dongles as and when and the drivers co-exist with each other with the dongle using the correct driver as required. The RB drivers working the RB dongle and the Zadig the NooElec, they cant interchange drivers.

Thanks Alan. Was scratching my head for a while.
Will run the Airnav one for a while and see if I notice much of a difference.

Interesting 1000 more flights in my daily log with the Airnav micro dongle compared with the noo elec dongle. I know plenty of caveats but interesting.
Advert warning
£34 with free next day delivery from Amazon. Slightly more expensive that the noo elec but maybe worth the extra expense if you are considering getting a micro dongle.

Hi Graham,
Do you still see an improvement in reception, if you compare the Airnav and NooElec dongle? Did you only change the dongle, or the antenna as well?
More people who compared both dongles, and can share their opinion?

For info I believe Airnav have a new stick on its way complete with amp and filter

Sounds interesting. Any idea when this one is due?

No idea Michel but I would think relatively soon

I can only compare with Radarbox Classic vs NooElec. I am running both side by side from the same antenna via a splitter.
The Radarbox Classic does better on Mode-S hits as well as overall number of aircraft. Max Range (232 Nm)
The NooElec does WAY better on Max Range and better in overall average range with it comes to ADSB, however, does much poorer with Mode-S Max Range (374 Nm)
This has been observed for months and is consistent.
