Title: GS vs IAS on Airplane Tags
Post by: Josuek6 on July 27, 2017, 05:28:28 PM
Hello!

I recently acquired the Micro Radarbox and had an external antenna installed to add more range to it. Over the past few weeks of monitoring traffic around my location, I've noticed that GS is usually 0 (even for ADS-B traffic) while the IAS is always received for ADS-B traffic. The airplane tags in the map show the speed based on the GS data, but unfortunately I can't see speed info on the airplane tags as they usually just show 0KT (see image attached).

Is there a way to change the airplane tags to reference the speed based on IAS instead of GS? Any thoughts on what might be causing GS to be 0 almost every time?

Thanks!
